By golly, 'tis eye-bleedin' stuff.
Crikey, that rendering is a bit stroppy!

Right, so, after having tried dabbling with ye wide and moste greate worlde of rendering, I must admit that I was quite daunted by the sheer immensity of it all. That is to say, the amount of details that one must bear in mind and so on, what one must connect and prod and poke and stab and saw and hack and…er… Lost perspective a moment there I think.

Anyroad, what assuredly made itself evident was that a huge amount of patience is needed along with a spot of some sense. ‘Tis partly a jungle that one needs to navigate through, but crikey what a trip! I have to say that during my first attempt of making a custom femshep render, I was actually entertained! Yes, even when I felt like tearing out my hair, scream and bang my head against the table, and then aim a few head-on rams against the wall!

Why? Well, because I started seeing results of my labour, and it felt good! (discounting that the programme froze and I lost a lot of work. Details!)

So, can I truly envision making a sort of copy of the character in the screenshot below? Oh, I think I may be able to. Some day.

Sweet, sweet some day…

Mah femshep, myes

Kudos, Nhaneh

This was quite an interesting find, and I dare say that my first go at “this thing” mentioned here did give me some additional closure. Granted, my second go with another character wasn’t as fulfilling, especially considering how Thane is COMPLETELY FORGOT (just to make it sound ol’ English like).

Howbeit ‘twas a nice lil’ thing to see slides, which gave a sense of aforementioned closure. And also, those renders. Pure gold. Forsooth.

nhaneh:

Heavily inspired by this thing, in particular the following part:

Shepard personally led the team that discovered Normandy survivors crash-landed on a garden world. A lucky holovid still captured Shepard and Kaidan Alenko at the moment of their reunion, locked in a passionate embrace. A moment of hope and passion, stolen from the wreckage of so much that had been lost.

Because while it doesn’t really fix all of what’s broken nor represent what I’d really prefer, it provides a way where I could consider swinging with what we got.

Tagged spoilers for obvious reasons.
